The Dental and oral care specialist program at Inaya Medical College provides an extraordinary clinical and academic opportunities for students interested in preventive oral healthcare and the promotion of good health. The dental and oral care specialist has a vital role, as a key member of the healthcare team, they work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of patients and thereby improve patients' quality of life. The department offers a state of the art undergraduate degree program, which prepares students for careers in dental hygiene: Bachelor of Science (BSc).

  1. Dental Hygiene students at Inaya Medical College have the unique opportunity to work in integrated clinical settings.
  2. Along with the regular class room teaching, the students work along with highly qualified and experienced faculty members at college operated clinics in the community at Shining Horizon Dental clinics and also at in-house purpose built state of the art dental clinics gaining invaluable practical experiences as they learn the practice of dental care while treating a highly diverse patient population.
  3. Academic excellence and clinical expertise are further supported by rotations through specialty areas preparing students through a comprehensive and challenging education.

Graduation requirements: Students are required to complete 139 credit hours in a four-year period and obtain cumulative GPA 2 out of 5 at least. A one-year internship is also required to achieve a Bachelor’s degree.

All the followed academic plans of all specialties in the college are accredited by The National Committee for Academic Assessing and Accreditation and the Shrine of the Ministry of Higher Education.
