The Department of Clinical Laboratory Science program at Inaya Medical Colleges offers a thesis track master’s program in two disciplines; Infection Prevention and Control and Clinical Microbiology. The program meets all the necessary requirements for launching the post graduate studies program with regard to the academic accreditation of the program in a reputable institution in the fields of education, research, and clinical practice, along with the competent teaching staff. In addition to the availability of the clinical research facilities, educational resources and partnerships with a high caliber clinical training sites that will enable the program on the best way to achieve the goals and mission of Clinical Laboratory Science program and Inaya Medical Colleges. The program provides opportunities to those who want to pursue to continue their Ph.D. in the future.

Mission

The Master of sciences in Clinical Laboratory Science (MSCLS) at IMC provides graduate students with interactive learning environment, qualified faculty, evidence-based high-quality learning and advanced clinical practice experience in the field of Clinical Laboratory Science to enable them to be competent professionals who contribute to the progress of the health care.

Objectives

The Master’s of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science program aims to help graduates in developing their knowledge and expertise in the field to participate in enhancing the nation’s healthcare system through;

  1. offering high quality teaching and learning experience.
  2. preparing students to pursue PhD program in CLS program.
  3. providing a stimulating, motivating and attracting educational environment for students, faculty, and staff.
  4. promoting scientific research, and conduct evidence-based practice research within clinical laboratory science to contribute to the advancement and progress of the profession.
  5. expanding the master’s program to cover other specialties; e.g. clinical hematology, clinical chemistry, immunology, and genetics.
