We are the 1<sup>st<\/sup> research group who published the origin of the keratoconus from the peripheral cornea.<\/p><p>Human cornea has five layers. I have discovered a new layer of the peripheral cornea. The layer is called pre-endothelial layer (PENL).<\/p><p>Recently, Dr Sami encouraged high profile research and\u00a0authorized to<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>purchase of state-of-the-art JEOL transmission electron microscopy technology.\u00a0\u00a0Prof Akhtar is carrying out a ground breaking research on the cornea with help of the transmission electron\u00a0microscope\u00a0attached\u00a0with a 24-megapixel\u00a0camera.
