College of Applied Medical Sciences

Inaya Medical College (IMC) was founded in 2011 which dedicated to excellence in applied medical and health care education congruent with its mission and goals to prepare competent and compassionate professionals in applied medical science and health care education. It is understood that IMC graduates’ students are prepared to have professional autonomy and accountability, possess necessary knowledge, acquire personal and professional skills, maintain close links with professional bodies, and demonstrate ethical behavior and practices. It is further expected that current college educational offerings and practices will ensure and sustain the health care community while enhancing knowledge, developing required skills, reinforcing education and training provision, and contributing to the prosperity of future health care and applied medical science in KSA. Currently the colleges have seven programs namely: Biomedical Technology (BMT), Clinical Laboratory Sciences (CLS), Emergency Medical Services and Critical care (EMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT), Dental Health Care (DNT), Radiological Sciences (RAD), and Respiratory Therapy (RTS).

IMC are considered pioneers within the community of private health care colleges that grant bachelor degrees in the science of health care specialties. IMC applies all rules and regulations related to private colleges as well as executive rules, technical procedures, and administrative procedures as stated by the Ministry of Education (MoE). All scientific studies regarding the work force in the health care fields and, according to the reports of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, indicate that there is a pressing need in the Saudi labor market to produce qualified staff of various health care specialties. Therefore, IMC’s will make all the efforts to accept most of the applicants and to establish mutual agreements to train students in governmental and other private hospitals to graduate as highly qualified professionals in health care specialties. In addition, IMC will build strategic partnerships with the best universities and colleges to exchange scientific and educational expertise and train its students at those institutions.

Academic study plans have been prepared to fulfill all the requisites of large segment of health care education and to receive the benefit of the most recent developments in the health care curriculum that are implemented in most health care colleges in developed countries through recent multi-technical means, such as e-learning. The Colleges maintain continuous development of the curriculum to ensure that the most up-to-date knowledge and skills are delivered to its graduates.
