The Community Health and Psychiatric/Mental Health Department was established in 2022 as one of the constituent departments within the Inaya College of Nursing Sciences. Its primary objective at the undergraduate level is to impart nursing students with the fundamental and applied competencies necessary for delivering exceptional quality nursing care.
Aligned with its overarching mission, the department endeavors to advance community well-being , primary care and mental and psychological health, all while providing exemplary and highly efficient clinical services. Its core duties encompass the cultivation of critical thinking abilities, research methodologies, and problem-solving techniques among students. Welcome to the Community and Psychiatric Department at Inaya College of Nursing Science!
We are proud to be one of the four departments at our college, contributing to the Bachelor’s degree program. Our department offers courses that develop essential skills, behaviors, and attitudes among nursing students.
With a concentration on community health nursing, our students gain hands-on experience in urban and rural settings through clinical placements at healthcare facilities. We emphasize therapeutic interventions for individuals, families, and communities, preparing students to make a positive impact in the field. We are committed to providing a comprehensive understanding of modern approaches to psychiatric health nursing, including identification, prevention, and nursing management of common psychiatric and mental health problems.
In the future, we look forward to launching our Master’s program in our department, providing advanced education and specialized training to deepen students’ expertise in these vital fields.
