The Department of Maternity and Child Nursing is one of the specialized academic programs at Inaya College of Nursing Sciences. The department is considered one of the most important scientific programs concerned with maternal and child health, and this interest stems from the college’s mission. The department includes a number of qualified staff members who provide students with courses related to maternal and child health in the bachelor’s degree. The courses include theoretical information and clinical skills necessary to qualify students to provide highly efficient nursing care for women and children.
Welcome to the department of Maternity and Child Nursing, which was launched based on the vision and mission of the Inaya College of Nursing Sciences. It is one of four specialized academic departments in the College of Nursing for the bachelor’s degree. The department offers theoretical and practical courses to teach and train male and female students in various nursing fields. Department members also hope to launch a master’s program in maternity and child nursing.
In addition to the courses offered, students are trained in critical thinking skills and working with evidence-based research outcomes through interactive teaching in theoretical lectures and clinical training, as well as health education for children, women and families. Thus, the department contributes to preparing nursing specialists with professional and scientific competence to improve the services provided to pregnant mothers, breastfeeding mothers, newborns, and children – whether in health centers or hospitals.
