The department of Medical Surgical Nursing prepares the student to acquire in-depth knowledge regarding medical surgical nursing and to become competent to practice nursing in various medical, surgical and critical care settings. The faculty in the department trains the students to acquire knowledge related to wellness, health promotion, and illness, patients with various medical surgical disease conditions, nursing process and nursing management. The students are prepared to provide quality nursing care incorporating the principles of safety, communication, teamwork and collaboration and evidence based practice to patients across life span with a positive attitude. The activities of the department focus on competency based skill training, developing leadership skill and research potentials among students and faculty.

The Department of Maternity and Child Nursing is one of the specialized academic programs at Inaya College of Nursing Sciences. The department is considered one of the most important scientific programs concerned with maternal and child health, and this interest stems from the college’s mission. The department includes a number of qualified staff members who provide students with courses related to maternal and child health in the bachelor’s degree. The courses include theoretical information and clinical skills necessary to qualify students to provide highly efficient nursing care for women and children.
